What Could Be Painful Spasm In Upper Rib Area Which Lasts About 20 Secs.?

I have painful spasms in my upper rib area on the left side. I ve had it before for many years, but it has never lasted like it has this time. It lasts about 20 seconds and usually occurs when getting up from a sitting position or turning over in my sleep. It s been going on for 3 days now. It s a stabbing pain.

It can be stone in your kidney. I would suggest you to take Ultrasound to see if it is there. Also what is the size of the stone. If there is stone present then what is the size of the stone. You should drink plenty of water and take cyclopam tablet if pain is very severe.
