What Could Be Purple Or Mahogany Eye Lid And Headaches Caused By Accidental Hitting On That Area?

Hi my name is Ivana, over a week ago i hit my head pretty hard above my right eye and had a huge lump for a few days and then it went away it still hurts right now to touch it but theres no lump..ever since the lump went away though ive had a purple and mahogony eye lid and headaches here and there. why do i all of a sudden have a disscolored eyelid?

Hi,I had read your query and according to me this occurs because bleeding occurs in the soft tissue of that part due to rupture of blood vessels like veins, arteries and capillaries. So,there is not any barrier in between eyelid and forehead .Therefore blood will come slowly around the eye lid and eye . So,with time the color change and become purple color. This is known as black eye.This will regress within 21days - 1 month.
