What Could Be Reason For Light Spotting And Abdominal Discomfort Sexual Intercourse?

It s been a week since I ve last had sexual intercourse. We used protection from start to finish, but afterwards there was light spotting for a day. Now, a week later, I m experiencing a little discomfort in my lower abdominals. I don t know if I should be concerned or not! What could possibly be wrong?

There are many possible reasons for bleeding after sex. It could be some minor irritation that will resolve on its own, so usually I recommend waiting and seeing if the problem recurs. If it is just a one time thing, you don't really need to worry about it. However, if it persists, you should see your doctor to get examined to make sure there are no infections, polyps, or other things that can cause bleeding after sex.

The mild discomfort that you are having may also be unrelated to the sex and the spotting. I think you can also wait and see how that goes. If it goes away with a little rest, I doubt it is of much concern. However, if it is severe or persistent, you should see your doctor to be evaluated.
