What Could Be The Cause For Tightening In Calf, Unable To Move Toes After Playing Basketball?
I was playing basketball from about 2pm to 7pm today and within the last 2 hours of me playing my calfs would tighten up, vramp and kinda bulge out. That all went away now im home and im laying down. Whenever i kinda move my toes in either foot my achilles would lock causing my toes to not move. Kinda of like im paralyzed. Im afraid to get up because i dont want the sistuation to worsen, what can this problem be? What should i do?
Hi, I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. This is a condition referred to as muscle soreness which is as a result of physical activity that stresses the muscle tissue beyond what it is accustomed to. The changes to your exercise routine can lead to tiny injuries called microdamage in the muscle fibers and connective tissue. This microdamage, coupled with inflammation that accompanies the tears causes pain. But the good news is that when you do the same activity again, your muscles will start to get used to it. Several remedies such as ice, rest, anti-inflammatory medication, massage, heat, and stretching could be of help as the body is adapting. I hope I have answered your query I wish you a quick recovery
