What Could Be The Cause Of Numbness Of Foot?

I went out cold this am and on return the upper base of my right foot was white and numb and I could not move my toes- came back to life after about an hour and after some warm water treatment - I had fallen asleep on the sofa ealier so cold when I woke on sofa in sitting up position. I am 53 don t drink or smoke and no underlying illnesses and have been on health watch since November and have lost 2.5 stones gradually since. This foot problem scared me - what could have been the cause?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it is too early to say anything about the neurological disease because it may be nonspecific and for to rule out the neurological disease one has to go long clinical tests, if the symptoms are no longer there then it is nothing to worry, or if it comes back then it should not be neglected and better to see the neurologist, it may be due to blood circulation disturbances too take care and hope this information helps.
