What Could Be The Chances Of Contacting HIV After Having Sex With A Sex Worker And HIV Test Showed Negative Twice?

Hi, I am male age 30, I have received the following from sex worker, Unprotected Oral sex and protected sex, and some time fingered too(Sorry about the detail expl). I have tested HIV RNA Qualitative at 12th day, came back negative, and I have tested 10 Panel test from stdalert at 31 days. all came negative , but HSV -1 - shows 1.7 range. by 10th day after exposure,(Note: I went to Coolest place for a trip) I got sinus headache ,mucus and mild fever, and very tiny fever blister and uncomfortable armpit(not swollen) and extreme fatigue. It was gone in a week. Please provide your thoughts 1) I am planning for take test after 6 week, HIV ABS test, will it be suffice to be conclusive? 2) After exposure I didn t have any sex with my partner, but planning for Parenthood, Please recommend some test which could be a conclusive (approximate high accuracy) in USA. Thanks a lot.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM
In My opinion you should stop worrying firstly. It is highly unlikely that you would have been infected through receiving unprotected oral sex. There is no evidence that HIV is transmitted this way, the primary reason being that saliva is not a fluid that transmits HIV. You need to have unprotected penetrative sex with someone positive to be at risk. This did not happen; therefore no risk at all. Just dont loose your sleep over this . For you piece of mind get an HIV test done at 4-12 week of exposure. But no need to worry at all.
