What Could Be The Gray Itchy Blotches Around Anus For Months?
I have these gray itchy blotches around my anus for 7 months now. I ve looked online and couldn t find anything that s like this. I have exhausted every anti-itch cream I could find and nothing works. Everyday it itches and its driving me mad. Any idea what it could be?
Hi there. From your description et al, it does appear to be a fungal infection of sorts possibly candidiasis or a mixed infection. Might I suggest a clear photograph of the area be uploaded on this website or using the premium portal? Use of a mixed bag cream containing corticosteroid, antibiotic & antifungal applied twice daily for a period of about 5-7 days may be the way forward; follow this up with a pure antifungal cream over the next week. Treatment of fomites is paramount. Good Luck & wish you are symptom free soon. Dr Praveen Rodrigues MD
