What Could Be The Hard Lump On The Left Ovary And Had Total Hysterectomy Few Weeks Ago?

I had a total hysterectomy 8 weeks ago. I have been experiencing pain where my left ovary was and when I went to my check up my dr. found a hard lump while examining me. I had a ultrasound yesterday and they saw a area where my doctor had felt the lump. Dr. doesn t know what it is until ultrasound comes back but im feeling anxious about what it could be. Do you have any ideas? Thank you.

Hello and welcome,

The only possibility just 8 weeks post hysterectomy is an induration or a collection of blood ( hematoma ) or pus.

These are common after surgery. There may be pain if it is pus and also fever. So please check if you had any of these.

Wait for the complete USG report and if needed a CT scan or a fine needle aspiration from the lump site may be needed.

Do not worry, it is possible to clear it up with treatment.

Hope this was helpful.
Thanks for the query.
