What Could Be The Ideal Diet And Exercise For Diabetic Patient?

Hi guys, how long diabetic patient needs to exercise everyday and can anyone tell me the ideal diabetic diet????

BEFORE TREATMENT YOU SHOULD THINK FOR DIET AND EXERCISE TILL POSSIBLE.
DIET FOR DM:
CAN TAKE : TOMATO, BHAJI, SHAKKARIYA, APPLE, CHANA, CULIFLOWER, ORANGE, GROUND NUT, GRAPES, CABBAGE, ONION, MAG.
SHOULD AVOID: PAPAYA, BANANA, PINAPLE, MANGO, POTATO, RICE.
MUST AVOID: WATER MELON, KHAJUR.

there is cure for the diabetes whether it is type one or type2. the only treatment available is the control of the blood glucose. insulin is the best treatment available

hi pradeep, diet depends on the amount of calorie intake one needs. Estimating daily energy intake: The first step in preparing any dietary regimen is to decide the individual patient’s daily energy requirement. An approximate range for the various groups may be: * An obese middle aged or elderly person 1000 – 1600 Kcal/day. * An elderly person not overweight 1400 – 1800 Kcal/day. * A young active person 1800 – 3000 Kcal/day. Allocating proportion of energy derived from Carbohydrate, Protein and Fat: The recommended proportions are: Carbohydrate: 50 – 60% Protein: 10 – 15% Fat: 30- -35% In general it is recommended that the percentage of energy derived from fats be decreased and that derived from carbohydrates be increased. Ideally diabetic should exercise enough to keep fit. Diabetics are prone for heart disease. So it becomes even more important to exercise. burning calories is the need. Exercising helps peripheral utilization of glucose, without increase in insulin requirement. If you can calculate the calorie spent. Then try to increase the calorie spent by 10% every week. To 300 Kcal/day.

Diet should be balanced. It should be containing vegetables.

Diet plays a significant role in controlling the diabetes. The diabetic diet may be used alone or else in combination with insulin doses or with oral hypoglycemic drugs. Main objective of diabetic diet is to maintain ideal body weight, by providing adequate nutrition along with normal blood sugar levels in blood. The diet plan for a diabetic is based on height, weight, age, sex, physical activity and nature of diabetes. While planning diet, the dietician has to consider complications such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels. With respect to the above factors, a dietician will assess calories to be given, like scheming the carbohydrates, proteins, fats, type of carbohydrate, amount of fiber and so on.
