What Could Be The Reason For A Period Not Stopping?

I have 41 years old..married..have two children .the delivery vwas operation .my period is always coming regularly .On 26th december 2011 i get period after that on 4th januvary the period came and it is not stopped..continue now...the bleeding is normal. but the period is not stopped
