What Could Be The Reason For Having Clogged Ears, Nose Draining Into Throat And Sinus Headaches?
for months if not years i don't really get boogers but my nose seems to drain into my throat and my right ear gets clogged... I'm assuming with snot stuff thats draining. I have horrible sinus headaches. Right now I am on antibiotics because I have pneumonia... I'm only 36 and it makes me wonder Could my sinus draining to my throat have gotten into my lungs and caused the pneumonia? Also why does my nose drain in my throat and not out my nose?
hello. it is likely that you are having a sinus infection. the sinus infection could be the cause of your pneumonia, and should be treated appropriately. the normal drainage of secretions in the nose is backwards and goes into the throat, in sinus infection the same thing happens and the infected secretions drain from the sinus into the nose and then from the nose into the throat. if the secretions become too much, they will come from the nose also. please meet your ENT doctor for further advice. thanks
