Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Colonoscopy can detect any early cancerous lesions.
This type of cancer takes a long time to develop, therefore, the screening interval for colonoscopy is 10 yrs.It is very rare that it would need to be repeated before that time.

There are other causes for blood in the stool such as hemorrhoids, straining on defecation, anal fissure , diverticular disease.

It would be best to visit your doctor so he or she can determine the reason for your symptoms.

I hope this helps
