What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain Below My Last Rib?
I am having a pain about 3 inches below my last rib. and 2 inches from my navel. The pain is bothersome but I know it is there. I knelt 3 days ago and it was obvious. The pain isn t piercing. It is very suttle almost like a heart beat. This has been so for about 3 months. But I am feeling it more now
dear patient. Here are some possibilities for your pain:
1)Liver disease: An enlarged liver may be pressing on the diaphragm. Get an LFT done along with a CBC and a physical by your GP
2)Pleurisy: pleural fluid collection may lead to a a heaviness and it can be diagnosed by a simple xray. The causes of pleural effusion are a plenty and will have to be narrowed down by your GP
3)Bowel abnormalities: Gas or fecal impaction may result in this sort of a presentation especially if you feel particularly bloated are are having trouble passing stool.a simple xray should rule it out.
Other possible but rare causes can be appendicitis pancratitis gallstones kidney stones
The pain in all these sharp and stabbing
