What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain From Neck To Shoulder To Back Of Head And Headache?

I have , what I thought was just a stiff neck, since this morning. I have used alive, ice and then the heating pad. None of these has helped. The pain is from my right neck at the shoulder to the back of my head. I have noticed bright sunlight hurts. I have been having slight headaches in this same area for a few days.

Hi
Welcome to health care magic.
Long-standing headache along with neck stiffness should not be ignored.
In view of light intolerance and headache, it can be headache related to migraine but other possibilities also need to be ruled out like it may be some other local pathology like subarachnoid hemorrhage or abscess in brain etc.
Ideally you should get evaluated by a local physician and get CT scan of the head to rule out any serious local cause.
If nothing serious is detectable then you should get long acting pain killers and muscle relaxants to ease out your pain.
I hope the advice will be helpful for you.
