What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain Under My Shoulder And In The Center Of Chest?

My left..I have this ache that under my shoulder. hurts when I push on it. Scaring myself that it could be heart disease....the pain has been there for a long time. I am 49. Also, every once and a while...I will get a tiny pain in the center of the chest right where the ribs start to come together.. It hurts if I move a certain way or push there. I am worried that I am making myself crazy

Hello and welcome to HCM,
You are suffering from pain near the shoulder and in the center of the chest where the ribs begin.
Does the pain near the shoulder increase on movement?
If yes then this pain could be musculoskeletal.
Musculoskeletal system includes muscles, tendons, ligaments and bony skeleton.
Heart diseases especially the ischemic heart diseases (IHD) are associated with pain anywhere in chest or the upper limb usually the left upper limb.
A heart check up needs to be done to rule out IHDs.
You can consult a physician for clinical examination and relevant investigations.
An ECG is the first investigation which can be done to look for the condition of the heart.
If there is any evidence of musculoskeletal pain, relevant steps will be taken

Thanks and take care
