What Could Be The Reason For Having Swelling In Throat And Tightness In Chest?

Hello Dr. I think I have peptic ulcer. I don't have gnawing stomach pain at the moment,(in the past) but my throat swells when I eat. It causes gas to be stuck in my throat... and tightness in my chest. ummmm.... This past July I had an ulcer flare up due to stress.

hello dear
thanks for your query at hcm

Throat swelling sensation and gas struck like sensation can be due to oesophageal motility disorder. Tightness in chest is due to gastric reflux that causes pain . proper investigation are needed to identify the cause for oesophageal motility defect.
