What Could Be The Reason For Itchy Bites On Neck, Chest, Arms Inspite Of Maintaining Hygiene?

I have small itchy bites on neck, chest and arms. I though it's bed bugs but after bring a specialist, spray the house, fogg the house, bought special steam vacuum clean but still problem occur - it happen on bedding, sofa and recently clothing and towels.... I can't see any blood mark on sheets, just small itchy 1mm bites - I really need your advise... I can't sleep properly anymore

Hello dear,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

I have read your query and understood your concern.

Sometimes, besides taking all hygienic precautions , these bugs can be acquired from somewhere else.

In such cases, i usually prescribe my patients to apply permethrin 5% cream/lotion over body below neck till toe overnight application.

The application needs to repeated after a week.

Alongwith disinfect all the used clothes of past 3 days and disinfect all family members.

You may take antihistaminics like levocetrizine night time for symptomatic relief.

This is my best advice for you. You can discuss this with your doctor, i hope she/ he will agree to this.
