4 1/2 year old grandson c/o pain left side (lower chest belly area). He states it hurts when he touches his side and that it also hurts even when he doesn t touch his side. My daughter took him to his pediatrician few days ago but it was suggested that it may be an acid problem and Mylanta was suggested. This doesn t sound like an gastric issue to me; the way he explains it it sounds more like skeletal tenderness or muscular. It has been bothering him approximately two -three weeks now.
