What Could Be The Reason For Prescribing Proluton Depot Injection?

Hello Doctor, my wife is 12 weeks pregnant and in her monthly checkup after her scan doctor has prescribed Proluton Depot 250mg injection weekly once and should continue upto one month. I want to know what would be the reason?? Beside this doctor also recommended her Duphaston 10mg (twice a day) with folic acid one in a day. Kindly guide
