What Could Be The Reason For Stomach Feeling Hard?

I haven t had my period in 4 months, I am sexually active but I never had any symptoms of pregnancy and I still don t. I now noticed that my stomach feels hard and there s a slight throbbing in my lower abdomen but this only happens when I m lying down. I m really worried about what might be going on with me and I m hoping to get some advice.

Hello,

In case of a delayed period, pregnancy has to be ruled out by urine hCG card test.

If pregnancy test negative than the pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian problem, Hormonal imbalance, thyroid problem need to be ruled out.

For that, you need to investigate with pelvic ultrasonography with special emphasis on genitals, CBC, serum DHEA, serum FSH, LH, serum prolactin estimation and serum TSH estimation for primary workup.

According to cause-specific treatment can be guided.

If no specific cause found than progesterone pill can be prescribed to induce period.
