I recently started house sitting for a old lady. When she passes stool sometimes its slimmy and looks like mucus or fungus is growing on it. I ve never had problems when using the bathroom but the last few weeks my stool is slimmy and looks like the same stuff on my stool. Depending on what i eat i will get bloated and bad gas and sometimes feel like i need to go but it s just a few drops of this mucus. I also got scratched really bad by my cat about a mth ago and the doc put me on amoxicillin and gave me a tetnus shot and the meds upset my stomach bad and it started around the same time. I m wondering if it could be something the old lady has that could be contagious or if I could of caught something from the cat? I have been doing research and i see that some of the symtoms i have or the same as someone that could be lactose and tolerant. The running to the bathroom multiple times a day is getting to be bad. Some days i dont have any symtoms at all then it comes back. Any answers?
