What Could Be The Reason For Vaginal Discharge With Smell ?
I have had a vaginal discharge that goes through my clothes, no itch, mild oddor, anytime during my cycles, I wear loose cotton underwear and I can actually feel when the discharge is about to come out. Im not currently sexually active, not wearing my usual nuvaring or anything else. I can smell the discharge, dont know if others can smell it. I would not say it smells bad but its there and certantly it forces me to change not just my underwear but my clothes as well if I am not wearing a pad. Not sure if this is normal or an overeactive glan. Also I have night sweats .
Hello.
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
The cause of such an excessive discharge is a fungal vaginal infection. You need to take antibiotics and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal suppositories to get rid of the infection. There is no overactive gland. Meanwhile avoid sex.

Hi Dr. Tayal,
Thanks for answering my question. Is a fungal vaginal infection same as Yeast infection? I had Yeast infections in the past and the symptoms are not the same. Perhaps Yeast is quite itchy and not quite the excessive discharge, this time I have no itch at all and the smell is not fishy is rather sweet.
Thanks again,
M.
