What Could Be The Reasons For Bloating, Increased Appetite, Bleeding And Negative Pregnancy Tests?
I came off the microgynon pill for 5 weeks and ever since I've been constantly bloated, has a little water infection, hot flashes and sometimes acid. I wake up in the mornings really hungry but can't manage a decent breakfast. I had a bleed for 4 days. Have taken a pregnancy test but came back negative. What could it be?
Hello, The cause of your symptoms could either be a hormonal withdrawal effect or a very early pregnancy. If you did not see your period apart from that you had while coming off the pill, you need to test for pregnancy. A home pregnancy test can give you a good result only if performed 3-7 days after a missed period with a fresh early morning sample of urine. You may go for the analysis of serum beta-hCG titres if you wish for an earlier and better confirmation. A trans-vaginal sonogram also would be helpful. Hope this helps.
