What Could Be The Reasons For Difficulty In Urination, Discharge With Blood And Pain During Walking?

My son is 22 years of age.The last couple of days he has had problems urinating.Today he says he is having a discharge and also a little bit of blood in his urine. /he says he feels like he is passing razor blades ,hurts to walk an he has to force hisself to urinate. please help

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your son has difficulty in passing urine ,bleeding per urethra and discharge from urethra.

This is most likely due to UTI which may be secondary to narrowing of the urethra (Stricture Urethra)

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical evaluation and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen to rule out presence of urinary stone
3) retrograde Urethrocystogram to rule out narrowing of urethra.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
Further treatment will depend upon final diagnosis.
