What Could Be The Reasons For Having Sharp Pain In Upper Chest, Back Pain And Pain In Under Arm Area?

I have been experiencing sharp pain in my upper right chest, back, under arm area for 24 hours. The area may feel fine one minute and then if I move my arm, shoulder, in a rotating fashion, the pain almost takes my breath away. Absolutely came in a moments notice. Someone suggested it could be gas. Have tried to drink alot of water. Please give some suggestions.

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

Your symptoms are suggestive of spasm of right chest, shoulder and back muscles.

A short course of anti-inflammatory drugs + a muscle relaxant drug will relieve you of the problems.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
