What Could Be The Small, Red Blotches On Palms Of Both Hands?
I have small red blotches/spots on the palms of both hands. They re not raised bumps. I ve been experiencing pins and needles feeling along with an occasional itchy/painful feeling. I also have this on the pads of my feet but, it s not as annoying.
The itching/painful spots on the palms of your hands and feet could be related to eczema whether atopic/allergic or due to fungal infection of the local skin.
I suggest to consult further with a dermatologist and to run an examination of skin scrapings (10% KOH) testing to exclude fungal infection.
Based on the lab result, further treatment is prescribed. Meanwhile, you should: - keep good hygiene of your hands - avoid irritant detergents (hand washing creams/gel,) - apply moisturizers to keep the skin well-moisten - apply otc anti-itching cream to relieve itching
