Hi, I have a strange fleshy ball that appears in one nostril when I blow my nose. My nostril feels slightly blocked and this odd fibrous ball comes from my nostril. It is probably the size of a pea, maybe slightly bigger. It doesn't come out of my nose, only into my nostril. It doesnt hurt, its red and quite tough. Any ideas?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain it seems like you have a Nasal Polyp that is a growth from the mucosa of the nostril and although it may not be painful it can be a cause for nasal blockage.. It can occur due to conditions like chronic sinusitis, allergic rhinitis allergies etc.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and in case if it is a nasal polyp he can advise you to get put nasal steroid drops for shrinkage of the polyp.. In case if it does not regress in size surgical correction can be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
