What Could Be The White Patches In The Throat?

My dentist is going to see me in two weeks following her noticing white patchiness on my throat. She mentioned leu------something but I missed what she said. If the patches remained she was going to send me to a specialist. Do you know what that dental diagnosis is?

Thanks for your reply. I have gone through your query.
The white patches over the throat can be because of the fungal infection like candidiasis. The other diagnosis said by your dentist can be a leukoplakia. But leukolakia in the throat is very rare. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. If it is a candidiasis, then you can take antifungal agents like clotrimazole mouth paint.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
