What Could Be Wrong If Experiencing Pain In Joints, Headache, Tiredness, Swollen Ankles While Taking BP Medication?
i am 62yrs old diagonised with blood pressure a year ago ive been taking stamlo once a day but my pressure wa still high then recently about 10days ago it was increased to twice a day and my bp has now stabilised but im experiencing stomach cramps pain in my joints and occasional headaches as well as general tiredness and now most recently swollen ancles.though ive also been told i have athrities which im not yet on treatment for what could be the matter
Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your anti hypertensive therapy I would say: yes!! It is true that some of your complains could be caused by Stamlo (ankle edema, gastrointestinal disturbances, headache). My recommendation is to stop taking Stamlo and consult your cardiologist for a more safe option. Regarding your articular problems (pain) you should perform some blood tests (complete blood count, ESR, PCR, uric acid level) and X-ray study of the offending joints, and to perform a consultation to your GP. Hope to have been helpful to you. Greetings from Dr. Iliri
