What Could Be Wrong If Having Pain In Bicep When The Area Between The Ring Finger And Middle Finger Palm Up Is Touched?
Between my ring finger and middle finger palm up a about 1 inch below base of my finger if a barely touch even very lightly I have a shooting pain that goes into my bicep seems to be getting much worse. I work as a caregiver and that muscle. Hurts when I lift anything now. My hand also seems stiff, tingly and whole arm is huting and hand is numb...hope I explained enough to you.....thx
Your symptoms correlate to a neuroma (a small swollen nodule) in the nerve which passes between ring and middle finger.
Firstly get an MRI of the hand done and evaluated by an orthopedician.
Treatment : 1. Get the local tender area infiltrated with Depomedrol. This should be done only by an orthopedician. 2. Start with radicular pain suppressing medicines like Pregablin and Duloxetine. 3. Amitryptylin or Carbamezepine can be added if above medication does not suffice.
If all the above measures fail to suppress pain completely then you might have to undergo surgical removal of the neuroma.
I hope my advice has helped. Good luck.
