What Could Been Have The Object In The Stool When Affected By Crohn S Disease?
I have Crohn s disease and had a small flare up with some pain yesterday. Today I had a loose bowel movement and there was a yellow bean looking object in the stool. It s about the size of the tip of my thumb and at least 1/2 long. Before my diagnosis, a long time ago, I used to pass medicine whole. Help please
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of suffering from Crohn's disease, small flare ups, has a loose piece like a yellow bean of the size of the tip of the thumb and half an inch in length. This could be an undigested or half digested part of some food. Nothing serious about it as there is nothing else in the intestines that can pass. Rare chances can be a polyp, the base of which got autolysed and passed as it is. Colonoscopy will give an idea. Also go for the relevant stool, blood and urine tests to rule out any other deficiency or disease. CT scan may be required. All these things will give an idea about the overall health of the intestines and the body as a whole so that further treatment can be planned accordingly.
