What Could Black Spots In Eyes Suggest?

Hello! My name is Anita and I am 19 years old. Last night I noticed a black little spot in my eye( on Caruncula lacrimalis). It doesn t Hurt but I am really worried what it could be? Is it something I should worry about? What do you think? It also does not move. Do I have to visit a doctor? Thank you!

Hello Anita,

It must be a naevus ( mole) which might have been noticed by you only now ( present earlier too). You can check that with earlier photographs ( close ups). If not, keep observing for it in terms of increase in size, shape or density of pigmentation. If any of these is noticed then do get it examined by an ophthalmologist. Apart from a naevus, a black tiny foreign body is the other possibility. A foreign body will get dislodged easily but not a mole.
