What Could Blood ESR Value Of 26mm Suggest When Diagnosed With Hodgkin Disease?
I am having Hodgkin disease and it was cured after the treatment. Now my age is 40 years. As a part of regular checkup I went for the blood test. ESR is 26 mm per hour. It s means is that disease is in my blood. Please give me the information.
Hi. Good to know about your concerns about your health. Also i congratulate you on a wonderful journey of getting rid from Hodgkin Lymphoma. So far as your question is concerned, first let me tell you some thing very basic about the ESR, it is a very non specific test and it shows that some inflammatory or infectious process is going on inside the person's body. It, if elevated, by no means can indicate that Hodgkins disease is back there. So you don't need to have a worry about that as far as you don't have any symptoms for a hematologic problem (fever, fatigue, weight loss, enlarged lymph nodes or enlarged liver or spleen). For a further confirmation, you may need to visit your primary physician to get yourself examined and investigated further if indicated. Wishing you the best of health. Regards.
