Hi, The possible causes of your brown discharge are: - After stopping the contraceptive pills, it may take some time for regularization of the menstrual cycles and during that period some amount of irregularity in menstrual flow can be seen like this brown discharge. - During the period of ovulation and sometimes during the premenstrual period also due to fall in the reproductive hormonal levels sometimes spotting can be seen when that is mixed with vaginal discharge that can present as brown discharge. - Sometimes implantation bleeding can also present like this, but just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion regarding the pregnancy. If you miss your expected date of periods, please go for a blood test for pregnancy, which is more accurate than urine tests.
