What Could Cause A Growth/nodule That Has Come Up Between Nail & Cuticle?

A growth/nodule has come up between the nail and cuticle on my big toe. It s ugly, uncomfortable, very fleshy and has blood vessels. I didn t injure or cut my toe. I poked it with a needle 5 times and it won t drain anything. It doesn t even bleed much. Its growing rapidly in 8 days it is now the size of a black-eyed pea. I have a dermatology appt but im wondering - What could this be?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

This sounds to be the nail bed infection. Taking antibiotics prescribed by a dermatologist and doing hot water fermentation will help ease the pain is any. Infection once subsided then no symptoms will arise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
