What Could Cause A Huge Lump Inside The Ear Lobe ?

Last night I went to bed with my ear lobe having a slight ball-like thing inside and I woke up this morning with a huge lump inside my ear lobe,and it also has a purple colouring.. Painful to the touch and I think it may be happening on the other ear too..

hi, you seem to be having an infection of ear (otitis externa). the skin is tight in that region and hence can be extremely painful. i may suggest you to start a course of antibiotics after consulting with a ENT surgeon. hope this helped.
