Hi I'm Erika. I took plan b September 3rd, and week later I received normal period but a lot heavier. I ended Last week on Friday, but since about Sunday or Monday I've had bad cramping and bloating as if I were starting my period, except its been everyday. I have some dizziness too I guess moreso light headed.
The emergency contraceptive pill can lead to the withdrawal bleeding by acting on the endometrium. So the bleeding you got after one week of taking the tablet would be the withdrawal bleeding due to emergency contraceptive pill. Sometimes because of the high dose of hormones other side effects like gastric disturbances, bloating sensation, etc. symptoms can also be seen.
Other possibilities are during the time of ovulation or during the premenstrual period also this type of symptoms can be seen due to reproductive hormonal fluctuations. Now you can take symptomatic treatment with antacids and if needed antispasmodics and can wait for a few more days for regularization of your menstrual cycles. Taking the emergency contraceptive pills repeatedly can affect your menstrual cycles and can lead to these type of other side effects in the future, so better to maintain at least two month gap between two emergency contraceptive pills.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
