What Could Cause Abdominal Pain With Blood & Mucus In The Stool?
I am 61 years old. After a bout with abdominal discomfort and constipation, I took a laxative and was relieved for only a couple of days. I repeated the laxative. This time I have the urge to go but mucus and blood is the result. What should I do? This has been going on now for about three days.
You have problem of abdominal pain and blood in stool that may be because of hemorroid or anal fissure problems.
Intestinal infection like ulcerative colitis may cause abdominal pain and blood in stool. Diverticulitis may ruled out. Stool examination test is helpful for checking any infection present or not.. Proper physical examination and history give exact idea. Consent a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.
I hope my guidance is helpful to you.. Take care. Thanks.
