What Could Cause Burning Pain In Left Side Of Groin With Swelling After A Working Day?

I have been experiencing a burning pain (discomfort) in the left side of my groin area. The discomfort is more intense after a working day. I get relief from the burning also the lump / swelling is reduced after a relaxed nights rest. Walking starts the burning and the lump / swelling in the left groin starts to become very uncomfortable each day. Hope this explanation is helpful, look forward to any diagnosis you may have ? Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have discomfort and pain and swelling in Left groin whcich agreveates on walking and get reduced after rest for over night.

This is most likely to be due to Left Inguinal Hernia.

However this can be confirmed only on clinical examination by a qualified General Surgeon and ultrasound scanning of the abdomen.

Please go ahead and get it done .If proved to be positive you will need to undergo surgery of Hernia repair which is the only treatment option.
