What Could Cause Constant Nausea, Throwing Up, Blood Nose With History Of Light Periods And Brownish Discharge?

Have been nauseous for over a week now and woke up last night to throw up and ended up having a very quick but strong bloody nose. Also had a very light period about a week ago and then brownish discharge afterwards for a couple of days. What could be happening?

Hello,

Your symptoms could be due to a viral illness. A single episode of the bloody nose is not too concerning as it can occur due to a dry nose. Use a humidifier to avoid that problem. Stay hydrated and eat a soft diet. Do a home pregnancy test as well to rule out pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
