What Could Cause Continued Periods After Being On Tranostat?
Hi Doctor I am a 43-year-old healthy person with no serious ailments like BP, Diabetes, etc. My condition is that in my periods is not stopping after taking Tranostat MF. For the last 35 days bleeding with clots, and it isn t continuous the whole day. In 2008 I had the same problem for which I was given Tranostat MF thrice daily and finally underwent D&C, after that had regular periods. This repeated in 2011 too and took Tranostat and slowly it got regularized. I did a endovaginal scan, found there is a 2.5 cm fibroid in the uterus and a fluid cyst in the right ovary. The doctor has scheduled D&C next week. My question is can I still continue the Tranostat medication. Thank you.
tranostat can help slow down the bleeding, but it won't correct the the underlying problem that is causing the irregular bleeding. there are many possible causes for the irregular bleeding, and it sounds like your doctor is trying to figure out what is going on. the fibroid may be a cause, depending upon its' location, or it could be hormonal or due to other issues. once you figure out the root cause of the heavy periods, you can figure out how to correct it. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.
