What Could Cause Crackling Sound In The Head, Heard By Outsiders Too, With No Pain?

Hello. Last night my mum heard crackling sound in her head. She asked me if I could hear it and yes I could hear a crackling sound inside her head right on top of her head. It is the first time it has happened and it only lasted for about a minute with no pain.

I have noted your mother's symptoms. I would like to reassure you that there is no need to worry about this, as it is not suggestive of a serious condition.

There is no condition, where a sound can occur inside head, which can be heard from outside.

Mostly, it could be referred sound from throat or nose.

A good clinical examination by an ENT doctor and a neurologist would be hlpful.
