What Could Cause Delayed Period While I Am Sexually Active?

Good day. I last saw my period on 27th of January then I had unprotected sex, 13th of Feb and later that evening I took Apoil steel pills. My expected next period was 24th of Feb I am having cramps yet no period. I ran pregnancy test on 25th of Feb n it came out negative. What could be wrong with me ?

Hi,

Late period provided you have regular menses, on the day you mention, can cause conception. April steel pills are synthetic hormonal pills and is used for oral contraception. You seem to have it only one day after sex. It's not likely to prevent pregnancy(taken only once in normal dose. If you had it in increased dose, 2 pills twice after 12 hours gap, it may work. Pregnancy test is reliable after 8 days delay in regular period, for detection of pregnancy. You should repeat it at proper time.
