Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have run out of my Clonidine and Atenolol for 4 days now, but have been taking 300 mg Tekturna instead. I doesn't feel like it's working. My heart rate is very high, 133 bets per minute and feels like it's pounding out of my chest unless I am laying still. I have an appointment in two days to see a doctor. Is it okay to wait or should I go to the ER now?
hi sudden withdrawal of your regular antihypertensive drugs could be the cause of your accelerated heartrate it is best advisable to go to ER or get an immediate appointment with your doctor and get a prescription
