What Could Cause Foul Odor At The Vagina Post Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

Hey, so i had sex with my boyfriend last week. It was protected and to be honest his thing didn’t even went in. But i’m a little bit worried that i might get pregnant or i guess im just being paranoid. I’m expecting to have my period tomorrow but there’s no signs that im having my period. i also experienced discharge after we did it and it has this fish-like smell but that discharge has stopped 2 days ago.

Hello,

Vaginal discharge with foul smell and bleeding after sexual intercourse is quite a common thing and it lasts for 2-3 days. If you had protective sexual intercourse then you don’t need to worry about it. Your periods may also get delayed as your body might have hormonal changes due to sex.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
