What Could Cause Frequent Headaches And Difficulty To Cool Down After Being On Marina Coil Indicate?

I m a 25 year old female, have a marina coil, so haven t had any periods for 3 years now. I use to be quite a cold person, always first to complain and now I need the window open to sleep and the air con on in work. I m not sweating, and I can t seem to cool down. It also comes with headaches that normal painkillers can t seem to get rid of. Is there anything seriously wrong??

Hello,

Mirena IUD can cause missing periods. However, it usually does not cause any systemic issues like hot flashes. Your symptoms are concerning for possible thyroid problem (hyperthyroidism). So please follow up with your primary provider to get a thyroid function test done.

Hope this answers your query
