What Could Cause Growing, Itchy, Extremely Dry Round Circles On Lower Leg?
I have 2 small round circles on my lower leg. They feel like extremly dry skin, but lotiion has not helped. They are getting more red and bigger. They also itch at times. Currently, they are appx. the size of a dime and are located just a couple cm s apart.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. From your history and description, you could be having a type of eczema called as nummular or discoid eczema. They present with reddish, itchy, coin shaped patches usually on the limbs. If moisturisers alone have not given you relief, you could apply a cream containing hydrocortisone or fluticosone twice a day for 10-15 days on the patches. Do continue with the moisturisers. You could take an antihistamine like benadryl at bedtime for 10 days. Hope this helps you. Take care.
