What Could Cause Headache?

Hello, for the past three days I haven t been feeling well. I have a headache with sensitivity to loud noises and its difficult to concentrate. I have been feeling nauseous, have been sweaty, irritable, and extremely congested, coughing, sneezing, but no fever. Any idea what could be causing this?

Hello dear,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com. I will summarise your clinical syndrome as-Headache with sensitivity to loud noises, difficulty in concentrating, irritability, nausea with cough and congestion. The most likely possibilities are-
1)Tension type headache(TTH)- Except cough and congestion, your clinical symptoms well fit into the diagnosis of TTH. It can result in irritability, headache and inability to concentrate.
2)Viral infection related fatigue syndrome-cough,congestion,headache,irritability and lack in concentrating are all typical features of viral infection related fatigue.

Please take adequate rest, maintain optimum hydration, good sleep and food.Mild analgesic and cough syrup can be taken(under a physician's guidance). You will improve soon.
I hope this reply helps.
