Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Cause Increased Heart Rate When In Hot Bath And Subsequent Dizziness When Having Slight Arrhythmia (inconsequential)?
Why does my heart rate increase in a hot bath? I'm 18 years old and very healthy. I know I have a slight ahhrythmia but I've had it looked into and there's nothing to worry about there, but I'm concerned because my heart rate increases when I'm in the bath, and when I get out I get very dizzy and my vision goes blurry and I feel very nauseous. Should I be worried?
Hot water bath can produce vasodilatation and occasionally urticarial rash in some individuals. In view of heart rate increasing after hot water bath , I suggest you to undergo exercise stress test to rule out any arrhythmia occurring due to vasodilatation ( exercise also produces vasodilatation).
