What Could Cause Irregular Bowel Movement In A 1 Year Old Child?
hi. my one year old is only pooing every few days. when he does he finds it very traumatic and screams and clings on to me. they are very hard and big but he drinks alot of water, has pureed prunes in his cereal every morning and even has lactuose 5 ml daily. Today I also noticed a very small white wriggly thing in it!

It seems your child suffers from constipation for which he is on lactulose. White wriggly bit in his stools is worms and he needs deworming medications to eradicate worms. Worms can cause erratic bowel habits like constipation or loose stools. Its best to start him on Albendazole syrup (200mg/5ml) like Zentel or noworm.
